Johann is the course director for the Open Access Program, ensuring that the connection between students, tutors and work are the best possible match for meeting the outcomes of the training modules. In Johann ‘s own words:
“Actors Centre is one of Australia’s premier arts training institutions and it relishes its role in fostering new artists. Offering a diverse and comprehensive range of courses, the Open Access community is a hotbed of development and creativity.
“Students from a wide range of experiences and cultures are tutored by seasoned and established actors and teachers, collaborating to establish a challenging yet immensely enjoyable forum for both art and artist to flourish. It is a rewarding and gratifying opportunity to be involved in and one that I find constantly surprising and inspiring. Other roles include TV performances in Fireflies, Home and Away, All Saints, Underbelly, Rescue Special Ops, Rake, the U.S feature film Stealth and numerous short films, TVCs and music videos.
Apart from teaching at the Actors Centre, Johann has also taught with the NIDA Open Program, ATYP (Australian Theatre for Young People) and various schools and Drama Camps. He has also taught the Army’s Military Police.
